Sit in on a discovery session…

Do you like sneak peeks, behind the scenes sorta stuff? then you came to the right place, I’m inviting you to sit in on a client discovery session. So welcome, let’s get started.

I’m currently creating a custom coaching package for my newest wellness client and YOU get to see a behind the scenes look at how this coach - client process works from step 1 the discovery to putting the action steps into play.

First up is the discovery call, these are client focused calls where I ask all the good stuff and then listen, I start with this question “what’s on your mind?” I know it’s such a loaded question, but for most women what we think is on our mind is usually not the reason we are talking to a wellness coach. Which leads me to the second question of the 7 total questions “and what else?” I told you this is all about simplifying wellness, you see as we work through the 7 foundational questions we usually uncover areas that as a wellness coach I coach you through and together we plan specific action steps to take and incorporate a few simple solutions that will get my clients living the life they desire, once we walk through the 7 questions it’s only then that we can start talking about customizing that plan, you must know where you want to go and why in order to create and effective plan and unless you’re a unicorn, we all have areas that are hiding and need attention, that is only if we truly want to be living our best and healthiest life. Truth is most of us know what we need to be doing, but often times we need the clarity, permission, support, and the simple tools mapped out for us to move from here to there.

I told you I was sharing the inside scoop, as if you and I were chatting in our own session, so for this specific client (with her permission and respecting her privacy) her first response to the question of “what’s on your mind?” she quickly responded with: “I have no desire or motivation, I know I need to do something, I don’t feel like myself, but I have no time to focus on menus and working-out with my family’s schedule and work” “oh and I’ve tried all the things!” after going through the the following 6 questions we landed at something, an epiphany or maybe just a hidden heartfelt desire covered in, fear, guilt, failure and pain and rejection from past experiences all growing over her reality of wanting or even admitting her to herself that she desired to find the tools to focus on her again, we talked through a daily routine and decided to create a 30 day focused morning routine that will spark more joy and productivity into her day, which will flow into relationships with her spouse, children and co-workers without feeling like she is sacrificing the important things that were defined in her life and schedule.

Second, part of this process is the customization of the wellness toolbox to create this 30 day routine, as a coach I can’t start suggesting just based on the first response, we often take the wrong turn on our journey or hit speedbumps, but this would be like starting in the wrong direction completely, so you see it’s more than fitness, more than a menu it’s a desire, a feeling a goal that often times get hidden under to much clutter and chatter that we get overwhelmed and give up before we even start. This client did not need me to suggest everything on the market, she needed a simple plan for tracking her sleep, a simple easy to read book recommendation to kick-start the mindset into belief with a few action steps, she needed something to give her energy (my fav all natural pre-workout is my go to) but I had 3 different options for supplements to share with her and she needed tp decide what she wanted to try for the 30 days we set on the calendar, also I encouraged her to commit to moving her body with our virtual gym, leaning to listen to her body and do what feels good for 20-30 minutes for 3-5 days, after digging deeper into a typical eating day. I am not a nutritionist, but I am certified in a few nutrition programs that I incorporate into my sessions and coaching and with those tools we tweaked a few things, prioritized some things and also added 2 supplements for her busy schedule and her lack of love for fresh veggies.

Finally, going back to what I said before, we all know what to do, but we often lack the consistency, support or what some call the motivation to keep moving forward, that’s where I come in as a Wellness coach, I’m your daily support and accountability partner, but with a little more truth bombs and reality checks thrown in, you’ll find some excuses, I mean reasons, for not doing what you said you would do to achieve the results you want, and that’s my job to remind you of those things. BUT, I also get to celebrate you, and shout each one if your successes from the freaking rooftops, because each day you decide to show up is a WIN and worth celebrating. Setting up daily check-in is part of the accountability, it might just be the biggest part of success and it varies with each client and coaching program they choose, but can be via text POD, email, or sharing inside the VIP wellness community, or a weekly coach call, this is about inviting support to the plan, but keeping things simple.

This sneak peek into a discovery session might have been a good little story for some of you, but if you can relate to having a desire to live your best life and feel like you need the support of a coach and a simplified plan then I’d love to chat further with you, you can book your very own discovery session with me, it takes about 15-20 minutes and it’s free for the month of January 2023 as my gift to you for just being here. Request a FREE discovery session

I’m curious… The discovery call is just one aspect of what I do here as a wellness coach, so are there any other sneak peeks you would like to know more about? You never know, I may share another behind the scenes look just for YOU!
